Acupuncture Mastery Software

"Just wanted to thank you and your team for your outstanding customer service! I was so impressed with the speed at which you responded to my initial grumpy email and how helpful you and your team have been in helping me to get the app re-installed."
--Louisa Leiserach, Satisfied Customer

"Just wanted to let you know I really like the points program. I am a student in TCM and purchased my iPod because of program like this. I have had this program for 4 weeks and have found it to be an extremely useful study tool. The point pictures are very good and I like the quiz mode very much. I also like that I can add notes specific to my program."
-- Shauna Mullinix, Satisfied Customer

Points was the first Acupuncture Point reference in iTunes, and is still the most complete and professional acupuncture reference for students and practitioners alike.

Check out these exclusive features you wont find in any other app:

* Real human photographic illustrations--not charts

* Needling information included for every point

* Quiz mode helps you master every point quickly—quiz yourself on a single channel, the entire body, or design your own custom quiz.

* Move point by point up or down the meridian with a quick flick

* Powerful interface takes you right to the specific point you want

* All pictures and text are optimized for your screen—large enough to see and read without zooming (of course you can zoom if you want to as well!)

We’ve all been there--working a busy practice day, helping lots of patients, and feeling great...when suddenly it hits. Call it mental block, blank-screen syndrome, or a brain cramp. No matter how you say it, the result is the same.

You need information and you need it now.

Maybe it’s a point you don’t use very often; maybe you just need to verify a location. Whatever it is, you don’t have time to dive for a book.

That’s where Points comes in.

Whether you’re working in a busy practice or preparing for your boards, Points is the fastest, most convenient and most powerful TCM Acupuncture reference ever to fit in your pocket.

* Eliminate guesswork with complete information about all 361 numbered points, as well as 40 extra named points

* Practice confidently with locations, attributes, functions, cautions, and needling instructions for every point right at your fingertips

* Locate each point precisely with "zoomable" photographic illustrations and complete anatomic descriptions (just stretch to zoom in, pinch to zoom out)

* Expand your knowledge with Chinese and English names for every point

* Quickly locate the information you need by point number or "flicking" flip chart - just flick left or right to move from point to point.

* Perfect your knowledge with the randomized quiz feature: Quiz by picture or printed description. Got 5 minutes to kill before a meeting? Between patients? Pump up your acupuncture knowledge with a quick quiz!

* Simple, clean interface keeps the clutter away and allows you to focus on your personal mastery of the acupuncture points.

Of course, you could get the same information in a big, fat, clunky textbook. Or you can step up to the speed and ease of Points--your always-available, always-convenient source for acupuncture knowledge--right in your pocket.

Pros and cons of Points app for iPhone and iPad

Points app good for

Great program for studying. Really like the quize mode, really good descriptions of all the Points. I hope theres a Chinese herbs app comming soon. !
This is very handy for both student and practitioner as a nice little quick reference guide. The only thing its missing is needle insertion info. But for $20 I can use more info about each point such as point combos, 24hr clock/element associations, etc. As a student this gives me a chance to study basic info of the Points without carrying around an extra mini-reference book. Good job overall!
As an acupuncture student and a pressure point martial artist, this has been wonderful and a fabulous find. I have two recommendations: how about an update that includes angles and depths of insertion and another one for point combinations?
Excellent application, but still needs some work. Some suggestions - an easier way to go forward/backward within a channel when looking at Points in succession, rather than having to go back to the main search; more refined location of Points (some have cun measurements, some dont); sometimes the app returns to the default search when returning within a channel to find the next point; and the app frequently crashes. With that said, the app is very useful, well designed, and well needed!
I am currently a TCM student and this has been a great tool and really helpul for studying for exams. My only suggestion would be to show cun measurements on the images like in Deadman as well as an option to view the point in relation to the internal anatomy (i.e. navicular tuberosity). The quiz is has a lot of repeats too. But otherwise pretty sweet.
Love the app but it would be even better if I could search by ailments... ie: naussea and then all of the Points for naussea appear and a routine to treat would be great also! Thanks for the app!

Some bad moments

For this price is not so good, the interface not fluid, no support multi-tach. Very few photo for détail. And no chinese name.
Nice pictures but without a search function makes this a good tool for students. A practitioner should save their money.
I like the left and right to flip through accuPoints, it could be a little more smoother. Can you make up and down to flip through diferent maridian lines? Thanks! - please do not advertising you other software at loading!
I am concerned that some information is non-standard. For example, the app notes that PC5 is the "Master point for psoriasis" yet A MANUAL OF ACUPUNCTURE (Deadman, Al-Khafaji, Baker), CHINESE ACUPUNCTURE AND MOXIBUSTION (Foreign Language Press, Beijing), and ACUPUNCTURE A COMPREHENSIVE TEXT (Eastland Press) make no reference to the treatment of psoriasis with this point. If this is not an error, then apps would be best to NOT contain sub-system proprietary information but rather stick to what is accepted worldwide as the function of an acupoint. I hope that corrections are made to have this app conform to the accepted cannon of Chinese Medicine.
I updated to version 1.4 and it didnt work !! I couldnt open the program anymore !! Mine is iPod touch, version 2.2
This application doesnt open on my iTouch. Very disappointed. Thought it would be really useful for clinic, but now I just want my money back.
